For reference, the MCR220-QP dual 120mm radiator shows ~50% less pressure drop than the MCR120-QP single fan version.

In the above curves, we show the heat dissipation performance of the MCR220-QP with our Delta M class 120mm fan running at 12, 7 and 5 Volt. For additional reference, we also show: a high-flow/high noise Delta HE class fan, and a low flow/low noise Papst fan. Estimated (*) noise levels are also indicated.

We can see in these curves that good gains can be made from increasing the flow rates.

In a Swiftech system flowing ~1.5 GPM we observe that with the Delta 1212M fans running at 7v, 200 Watts -corresponding to a typical high-end dual CPU configuration for example, can be dissipated with a mere 10°C temperature rise of the coolant over ambient air, and that this is accomplished at a Noise level of ~30 db(A). We can use the next set of curves below to predict what would happen if we were to add a couple of high-end graphic cards to the system in SLI mode.

The above curves are very similar to waterblock C/W data and can be interpreted in the same fashion. They will allow users to estimate the temperature rise of the water in the circuit, based on the coolant flow rate.

We can use the curve of the Delta 1212M running at 7 volt to illustrate how to calculate the coolant temperature rise over ambient air. Assuming for example a loop flowing ~1.5 GPM, and a dual CPU heat load of 200 Watts + dual GPU (graphics) of 120 Watts = 320 Watts total, at 7v the C/W of the radiator is 0.05 and the coolant temperature rise above ambient would be 320 Watts x 0.05 = 16°C. This data clearly demonstrates the vast amount of headroom being available with the MCR220-QP heat exchanger.
